Arizona State income tax payers have a great opportunity to donate to an approved Arizona Qualified Charitable Organization (QCO) such as BILT Foundation and get your entire donation refunded. If you have already paid your AZ income tax, you will get a refund, and if you still owe, your total tax amount will be decreased the same.
It is very simple even though most people stop listening once you mention taxes. The AZ QCO tax credit is so common that most accountants remind their clients to donate to a QCO and most tax software (i.e. Turbo Tax) ask you if you have made a donation and prepare all the paperwork.
All you have to do is donate to BILT Foundation on our website up until tax day. Then, when you file your AZ income taxes, claim the donation and watch your tax payment go down the same as your donation or watch your refund increase the same. It is that simple. Remember that you can donate/claim up to $470 for individual filers or $938 for joint for 2024 taxes. 2025 tax year the donation limits increase to $495 individual or $987 joint.
Hit the donate button and give up to $470 individual or $938 joint for 2024 taxes. 2025 tax year the donation limits increase to $495 individual or $987 joint. Make sure you choose the team you would like your donation to benefit.
When you do your taxes just make sure to claim the fully refundable QCO donation on your AZ forms 321 and 301. It is really easy, just tell your accountant or wait for Turbo Tax to ask you.
Once filed, you will get up to 100% of your donation back in a refund check or in a reduced tax payment to Arizona Department of Revenue. That was easy.
